The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) implements treatment programs established by the occupational therapist for patients of all ages. Supervises ancillary staff in the delivery of patient care and with department activities.
A. Education
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant curriculum
B. Experience
Knowledge of the occupational therapy profession as normally acquired through academic experience, clinical affiliations, and/or previous work experience in the field
Demonstrated competence in the care of populations served which may include neonatal, infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric
C. Licensure
Licensed Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) from the state of Georgia
