What does the role look like?

The selected candidate will become part of the N.P.I. (New Product Introduction) team in the Manufacturing Engineering organization. The NPI team is in charge of the industrialization of new products and manages the transfer of production processes from external suppliers to the internal machining shop and vice versa.

The activity of the NPI team starts from the design phase, where constant interaction with Design Engineering is needed to agree with the designer the technical solutions that better fit the objectives of the Design To Cost and Design for Manufacturability. This is followed by the cost analysis, the production of the prototypes and the industrialization of the products until series production starts, providing support to external suppliers and the internal machining or assembly shops.

What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?

  • Support to work transfer of production processes, for a smooth and optimal transition
  • F.A.I. (First Article Inspection) forms approval, to guarantee conformity to quality requirements
  • Preparation of P.P.A.P. (Production Part Approval Process) documentation, to guarantee conformity and validation of production processes
  • Validation of production sequences for external suppliers

What will you bring to the role?

  • Aerospace, Mechanical or Production Engineering Degree (or equivalent background)
  • Previous experience in similar roles will be considered a plus, together with operative knowledge of production processes.
  • Knowledge of the English language (fluent writing and speaking) is mandatory.
  • Excellent knowledge of Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint in particular).
  • Knowledge of CAD software.

Desirable skills:

  • Deep knowledge of technical drawing
  • Good knowledge of special processes and non-destructive testing
  • Knowledge of machining processes
  • Knowledge of MRP software is a plus
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team and coordinate with other functions and external suppliers
  • Available for short term business travel
