Job Purpose
You will act as a strategic scientific partner for healthcare professionals (HCPs), laboratories, and key decision-makers, while also driving business growth. Your role is to facilitate scientific exchange, optimize patient pathways, and support commercial objectives, ensuring the adoption and expansion of our diagnostic solutions in your assigned territory.
Accountabilities
- Establish, maintain, and develop positive relationships with customers and local key opinion leaders, detailing this via CRM SFD.
- Educate healthcare professionals by translating scientific knowledge into business opportunities, supporting the integration of our diagnostic solutions in clinical practice.
- Develop business (Tests Volume & Sales) in the area or region according to the annual plan.
- Respect internal processes, regulations, country laws, and the MedTech code of conduct in all interactions with healthcare professionals.
Main Responsibilities
- Understand company clinical and team management priorities and their impact on the territory.
- Identify and capitalize on business opportunities by integrating scientific insights with commercial strategies.
- Compile, supervise, and review performance against a strategic business plan, making informed recommendations.
- Establish and develop relationships with customers, clinicians, and key opinion leaders, detailing via Veeva CRM.
- Coordinate and host clinical promotional sales meetings, balancing scientific education and business expansion.
- Develop and lead key accounts strategically, ensuring scientific credibility and business sustainability of Thermo Fisher’s portfolio.
- Keep daily records of customer contacts and share relevant data with colleagues via SFDC.
- Provide Clinical Sales Manager with accurate data and market reports, including follow-up actions.
- Maintain detailed records of activities and actions in key account plans.
- Ensure all appointments and booked events are accurately diarized.
- Supervise company expenditure on territory within budget, ensuring timely submission of expense forms.
- Engage with customers and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Experience in sales within the Vitro Diagnostic, Medical Device, or healthcare market.
- Ability to translate sophisticated scientific data into actionable business insights.
- Strategic selling and negotiation skills.
- Driven by achieving outcomes and effective in communication.
- Role model for the 4-I Values (Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, Involvement).
- Italian and English professional proficiency.
Ideal Background for Position
Education
- Preferred Scientific or Medical Background degree: Master 2 or equivalent in Science (Biology, Clinical Biology, Pharmacy, Biotechnology).
- Understanding of clinical workflows, patient pathways, and the economic impact of diagnostic solutions.
- Specific knowledge in professional selling and negotiation skills.
- Experience in working with Med-tech Code compliance.
