Partner with the bestThe
Mechanical & Piping Design Engineer oversees the mechanical and piping design activity for assigned projects inside the String Test cell. In daily work, He/She delivers (executes and controls) project documentation and drawings/specifications, relative to: P&ID definition; plant system mechanical layouts; piping design; and structure design.
In this mission, He/She is also responsible for participating in
#Decarbonization initiatives, following programs with partner universities, and promoting
#Digitalization &
#Improvement of test methodology, processes, and procedures.
As a Mechanical & Piping Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:- Executing string test design (thermodynamic and mechanical) for turbo-compressors, electric motor-compressor, and turbo-generator packages: such as conceptual P&ID diagrams, thermodynamic verification with Company tools, piping design according to ASME code (including stress analysis), supporting structure design and verification.
- Formulating functional purchase specifications/data sheets of mechanical system items (such as coolers, valves, ...) and being accountable for technical alignment closure with material suppliers.
- Managing external contractor work and assuring that technical documentation is issued according to project planning schedule.
- Assuring that lessons learned are captured in the assigned design.
- Providing technical assistance on test field during plant erection.
- Participating in assigned team groups to address organizational/improvement initiatives and act as owner/presenter in technical reviews.
- Supporting the decarbonization roadmap of String Test cell with reference to Mechanical system integration both with test facility and national grid lines.
Fuel your passionTo be successful in this role you will:
- Have a degree in Engineering subjects; Energetic or Mechanical are preferred, along with 3-4 years of relatable work experience.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Show ability to manage and oversee multiple projects/activities with high intensity.
- Show ability to plan and lead cross-functional programs.
- Be an experienced problem solver, with an analytical approach to identifying root causes and implementing improvement solutions.
- Display good knowledge of Mechanical System integration in turbomachinery plants and commissioning operations.
- Be fluent in English and Italian languages and be able to work in the EU.
