Materials Application Engineer - Additive Manufacturing Specialist

The selected resource will be in charge of activities related to R&D, test, analysis, and characterization of materials, verifying & validating development processes of new materials, defining technical specifications of special treatments, conducting failure analysis/investigation on damaged and/or NC components, partnering with other Departments (i.e., Design, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain) and directly interfacing with suppliers.

Qualification Requirements:

1. Materials/Nanotechnology/Engineering Master Degree or similar background;
2. Some expertise in Additive Manufacturing processes and technologies will be preferential;
3. Broad knowledge about different materials (metallic, ceramic, composite, polymeric, etc.) and experience with characterization tests;
4. Laboratory operations experience (knowledge of procedures, equipment, etc.);
5. Finite Elements Analysis background (knowledge of ANSYS tool advantageous but not mandatory);
6. Knowledge about coating/surface treatments processes advantageous but not mandatory;
7. Proficiency in English;
8. Good computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
