Lead UI Designer

We are looking for an experienced UI Designer to drive the UI designers unit of AXA’s Digital Team.

Understanding the objectives of AXA and the user needs and behaviours, you will be leading all aspects of the design process and deliver everything from conceptual sketches, to wireframes and high def prototypes.

You will be working closely with UX Researchers, Digital Analysts, Product Managers, Developers, Copywriters and the rest of the UI Design team.

You will be working on various digital projects, for different clients segments and sectors: B2B, B2C, Retail, Life, Health, etc.

In a nutshell, a job with a lot of impact on the design of AXA’s website and other applications for brokers and end users.

SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Translate AXA’s objectives, business requirements and user insights in accessible, elegant and usable interfaces.
• Thinking smart and analytical: being able to assess the impact of UI design and usability changes, in collaboration with our data analyst and UX teams, is key.
• Enrich our Design System while ensuring unified and cohesive UI experiences across all AXA’s digital content platforms (Mobile & desktop).
• Articulate design choices and communicate business requirements and vision to colleagues and stakeholders (business & IT).
• Ensure UI team items are delivered on time, on scope, and on quality.
• Identify new UI skills and trends, ensuring the team job coaching.
• Nurture close collaboration with colleagues from AXA Belgium and AXA Group Brand departments.

• Bilingual NL/EN or FR/EN.
• Min 5+ years hands-on experience.
• Interaction design + Accessibility standards knowledge.
• Excellent time and task management: the projects will need to be released on time and on quality.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills: be able to confidently make — and defend — data and user backed design decisions.
• You love a team to get things done and are able to mobilise your colleague’s strengths and expertise.
• You can take the lead and are autonomous.
• You are curious, a problem solver, quick to pick up things.
