A Lead Housekeeper is primarily responsible for daily work orders, all University event set-ups and breakdowns and emergencies, under direct supervision.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides routine guidance of others as to job duties;
  • Distributes work orders and assignments to workforce;
  • Reports any damaged housekeeping equipment or dangerous situations to a Manager or Supervisor;
  • Completes work assignments and work orders in an appropriate manner;
  • Covers housekeeping FTE's assignments on sick or vacation as needed;
  • Perform other work related duties as assigned.

Experience & Educational Background:

  • High School Diploma and a minimum of 2 years of prior leadership experience is required.
  • Valid state issued driver's license required.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds;
  • Must be able to work the majority of the day walking, twisting, bending, pushing, and kneeling while working;
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.;
  • Good communication skills and ability to interact with building/office occupants efficiently;
  • Knowledge of proper work procedures and proper use of equipment.
  • Must have excellent organizational, verbal, written communication skills and basic computer knowledge;
  • Must be able to prioritize and delegate tasks;
  • Must be able to physically lift boxes and bulk items such as furniture, supplies, etc.;
  • Respirator Fit Testing may be required.
