For our client company, we are seeking an IT Manager to lead and oversee IT operations at our Cincinnati, Ohio location, reporting directly to the Group CIO. The candidate, after a training period at headquarters in Piedmont, must be available for relocation to Cincinnati.
The ideal candidate will have comprehensive, horizontal knowledge of the IT function, possibly with experience in systems, networks and ERP. This individual will ensure the smooth operation of IT systems, data security, and the efficiency of technological processes within the company. From a functional point of view, the IT Manager will coordinate with the HQ IT Team and the Innovation Committee. Additionally, he will coordinate the IT team and collaborate with other facilities to implement company-wide IT policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Horizontal IT Management: Oversee IT operations with a broad understanding of various areas, including systems and networks, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), software development, data management and Business Intelligence.
- Operational Leadership: Coordinate and manage the local IT team, balancing managerial responsibilities with the ability to step in operationally when necessary.
- Project Management: Plan, execute, and monitor IT projects, ensuring timelines are met and regularly updating the CIO on progress, even in the event of delays.
- Budget Management: Carefully control and manage the IT budget, promptly notifying the CIO of any variances or specific needs.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams at other facilities to ensure consistent adoption of global IT policies.
- IT Security and Compliance: Ensure data protection and compliance with applicable IT regulations.
- Risk Management: Assess and mitigate IT risks related to information security, business continuity, and IT projects.
- Systems Evolution & Innovation Strategy: The role is coordinated by CIO and HQ IT Team in terms of systems evolution and new technologies adoption. His contribution to find new opportunities in this field is part of the IT innovation committee.
- Migration and Integration Management: Lead system migration projects and the integration of new technologies with existing infrastructure. He will deploy the new ERP Microsoft Business Central Printvis together with the HQ IT Team.
Requirements
- At least 5-7 years of experience in the IT sector.
- Bachelor/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. A specialization in IT Management is an advantage.
- Proven experience in managing IT teams, with the ability to maintain order, discipline and a collaborative work environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly and precisely with both the IT team and executives, particularly regarding project progress and budget requirements.
- Ability to work effectively within assigned timeframes and budgets, with a strong focus on achieving business goals.
- Residence or willingness to relocate within a reasonable distance from the Cincinnati facility to ensure daily on-site presence.
- Experience in managing and implementing cloud solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware).
Preferred Skills
- International Experience: Previous experience in an international corporate environment is a plus.
- Technical Expertise: Familiarity with the latest IT technologies and the ability to quickly adapt to technological changes.
