ABOUT THIS ROLE:

The Internet Sales Associate is responsible for continuously maintaining the company’s online thrift store including eBay and the St. Matthew’s House Shopify account. They must engage online customers as well as generate new customers to increase online sales. They must be able to analyze data and metrics to inform management of product and sales trends, making recommendations for product and pricing changes based on their findings. We are looking for an innovative, out-of-the-box thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys challenges.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain the company’s online thrift store and eBay store.
2. Generate and review data and metrics to see trends and make recommendations.
3. Maintain and improve website functions.
4. Take detailed, clear, and appropriate photos, and write concise and accurate descriptions necessary to list items on the online platform.
5. Oversee execution of online orders; fulfillment, packing, and shipping.
6. Ensure customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service.
7. Achieve monthly sales goals.

Employment Terms:

This is a temporary position with a set end date of March 14, 2025.

Requirements:

1. 2 years of e-commerce experience in a creative, fast-paced environment.
2. Working knowledge with applications; Shopify and eBay.
3. Technical savviness, including experience with website functionality.
4. Excellent communication skills both written and spoken.
5. Up-to-date with the latest online sales practices and prices.
6. Strong time management and project management skills.
7. Ability to think creatively and problem-solve when faced with new challenges.
8. Must be able to lift/carry equipment up to 25 lbs.
