International Host-Hostess - German speaking

Dual.Concept S.r.l., a training and employment company of AHK Italien (accredited by M.L.P.S. - ANPAL N. 145/2022), on behalf of a client company, is looking for an International Host-Hostess - German speaking.

What to expect:

As International Host/Hostess, you will act as a reference point for German speakers, removing language barriers to ensure Guests enjoy their cruise.

Main responsibilities:

• Take care of the daily cruise program to ensure the correct translation of written material such as menus and flyers, and organize informative speeches (i.e., embarkation travel talks, end of cruise speech).
• Act as a point of reference for German speaking guests doing public relations (i.e., public events, parties, embarkation, disembarkation), daily hospitality desks, and escorting them on tours to gather feedback on guest satisfaction and needs.
• Provide translation services for medical emergencies, accompanying guests to the onboard infirmary or shore side hospitals when necessary.
• Support various revenue services through communication and promotion to maximize revenue and guest satisfaction.
• Make major voice announcements for guests, including safety announcements during drills or real situations.
• Report or take care of guest complaints, informing the relevant heads of department to offer prompt solutions.
• Participate in a work environment that supports a successful safety culture and follow safety policies and procedures.

The Onboard Information department is looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join their team!

The requirements for this job are:

• Secondary school in Tourism or Humanities.
• At least 6 months experience in tourism (i.e., reception, accompanying guests).
• English & German at least at C1 level.
• Comfortable with public speaking.
• Enthusiastic, a good communicator, and problem-solving oriented.
• Sales skills are a plus.
