INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER

Our company is looking for an Instrumentation/Electrical Engineer.

The resource inserted directly reporting to the Engineering Manager will work within the electro-instrumental department.

His activities will be as follows:

1. Review of the technical documentation of the order (customer specifications).
2. Control of the documentation produced by the sector subcontractors (electrical documentation including electrical, instrumentation and automation diagrams).
3. Definition of project standards.
4. Preparation of technical documentation for electrical / basic instrumentation.
5. Alignment and technical verification of sub-suppliers' offers relating to electro-instrumental disciplines.
6. Support to mechanical specialists for interfaces, layout, routing, supports.
7. Preparation of purchase specifications for instrumentation, control systems (PLC, DCS).
8. Implementation and/or drafting of P&IDs for the instrumental/electrical part and support to the project engineers of the order.
9. Preparation of instrument data sheets, loop-diagrams, hook-ups etc.
10. Participation in sector technical meetings and F.A.T.
11. Technical assistance with assembly.

Skills and experience:
The ideal resource has a degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering and has gained previous experience as an Instrumentation Engineer or Electrical Project Engineer or a diploma as an industrial expert with a proven level of competence.

Previous experience in the role of at least 3-4 years and coming from the Plant Engineering world, preferably Oil & Gas, is required. Autonomy in carrying out assigned activities, good interpersonal skills with the work team and customer management.

Foreign Languages: fluent knowledge of English.

Computer skills: AUTOCAD 2d software, Word, Excel.

Other knowledge: CEI, IEC, ATEX, ISA, UNI regulatory knowledge related to the design of instrumentation systems.
