HPC Manager

For a leading company in the Automotive field, I'm looking for a HPC Manager.

Tasks:

• Installing, maintaining, and ensuring the efficient and optimal operation of HPC resources. Assessing and fine-tuning hardware configurations, network architectures, and software environments to maximize computational throughput.
• Benchmarking, profiling, and debugging to efficiently make use of HPC clusters and infrastructure. Monitoring and reporting on systems performance, assisting with the troubleshooting, isolation, and resolution of incidents, also liaising with the vendors' technical support as needed.
• Documenting day-to-day processes, installation, and desk procedures. Providing technical conceptual guidance and mentorship to other group members and to the management and developing and implementing strategic plans for HPC infrastructures and resources.
• Supporting the decision-making process for acquiring new systems.
• Implementing the required security policies, practices, and tools.

Skills:

• Proficiency in computer architecture (processors, accelerators, memory, I/O subsystems, networking, interconnections); expertise with parallel storages and file systems (LUSTRE, GPFS, VAST, ...).
• Knowledge in shared-memory and distributed systems environments; awareness of job scheduling strategies and tools (such as LSF, PBS, SLURM, ...), Linux operating systems (including interaction with Windows clients), scripting and programming to automate or facilitate system-related functions (Bash, Perl, Python, ...).
• Knowledge of tools (such as BCM, XCAT, Warewulf, ...) to deploy, maintain, and manage HPC clusters.
• Understanding of parallel programming and related software ecosystem, including compilers and libraries.
• Project management skills are relevant in order to oversee HPC projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget, coordinating with stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables, monitoring project progress, and adjusting plans as necessary to meet objectives.
• Fluency in English is required.
