Hotel Manager

For a 5* luxury hotel in Venice, we are looking for a:

Hotel Manager

As part of the Management team and reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for leading the effective daily operational management of the hotel services. You will be supervising and coordinating the Heads of Department to drive efficiency of services, achieving and exceeding revenue and guest satisfaction targets.

Main duties:

1. Work in synergy with the General Manager to drive the team and the daily operations to provide the most memorable customer experience and to achieve the expected targets.
2. Address any customer concerns and foster a service recovery culture to drive customer loyalty.
3. Assist the development of meaningful and achievable hotel budgets and other short and long term hotel strategic goals.
4. Provide effective leadership to the hotel management team and to the rest of the team members to ensure targets are met and exceeded while maintaining high engagement and motivation.
5. Plan, direct and coordinate the service delivery of all operational departments in order to meet and exceed guest expectations.
6. Ensure that costs are controlled throughout the operational departments and results are analyzed regularly to identify opportunities and drive appropriate actions to achieve efficiencies.
7. Hold regular briefings and meetings with the HOD team to maintain and foster an environment to share guidance/feedback and seek inputs from the team to improve both the staff and the customer experience.

Requirements:

1. A degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent.
2. Previous experience as Director of Operations/Hotel Manager matured in five stars properties.
3. Substantial background in Food and Beverage and Room Division Management.
4. Experience in managing budgets, revenue proposals, and forecasting results.
5. Strong leadership skills and an inclusive style.
6. Problem solving and proactivity.
7. Excellent organizational skills and a strong sense of responsibility.
8. Knowledge of the hotel property management systems.
9. Excellent standing and communication skills.
10. Solid knowledge of English language (knowledge of other foreign languages will be highly regarded).
