Bauer Infrastructure is hiring an experienced heavy equipment field service technician/heavy duty fleet mechanic to inspect, service, and maintain our range of heavy-duty construction equipment and truck fleet in the Lincoln metro area and surrounding communities.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Driving to the job site.
2. Inspecting trucks, cranes, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment for proper performance.
3. Diagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment.
4. Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts.
5. Repairing damaged equipment parts.
6. Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on heavy-duty vehicles.
7. Performing major heavy equipment repair & maintenance work when necessary.
8. Consulting with other mechanics on smaller jobs.
9. Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management.

Job Requirements:

1. High school diploma or GED.
2. Certification as a heavy equipment mechanic is preferred.
3. Proven work experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic.
4. Understanding of computer testing technologies.
5. Ability to lift heavy machinery.
6. Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment.
7. Ability to work after-hours if required.
8. Good communication skills.
9. Having the necessary tools to perform the repair tasks.

Experience & Skills:

1. To ensure success as a heavy equipment and truck mechanic, you should have proven experience working with heavy machinery and trucks, be physically fit, and be able to troubleshoot issues needing addressed.
