Health And Safety Officer

Responsibilities:

1. Implement the project HSE standard through embedding systems, training staff, and continuous auditing of behaviour;
2. Conduct and document pre-planning safety meetings with each subcontractor safety representative and/or foremen to establish safety procedures prior to subcontractor’s activity on site.
3. Coordinate & communicate with management on matters relating to safety & health.
4. Monitor safety performance of subcontractors.
5. Promote occupational health & safety at every opportunity and lead by self-example.
6. Ensure compliance with safe work procedures.
7. Assist the HSE Manager.
8. Carry out inspections and ensure application of improvements resulting from the inspections.
9. Conduct safety surveys, safety tours, hazard identification, safety inspections, job safety analysis, equipment inspection, work permits, and safety audits.
10. Ensure that subcontractors are conducting the proper training requirements as per the HSE standards. If necessary, facilitate training for site personnel for compliance with Federal and State standards.
