About the Role: A leading global organization in the e-mobility sector is seeking a Head of Testing to spearhead the development and optimization of its integrated testing infrastructure for electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing. This role is pivotal in ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality and performance—from individual components to system-level validation. Operating within a layered testing hierarchy—spanning components, modules, and platforms—the role focuses particularly on end-of-line (EOL) testing, ensuring the final product performs in alignment with design specifications and real-world user expectations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded systems, manufacturing processes, test automation, and system optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain an integrated testing tool chain across all production stages, from components to EOL validation.
2. Define test strategies for module and sub-module testing, ensuring full-system integration.
3. Ensure EOL testing reflects real-world consumer use cases, adopting best practices from telecom and consumer electronics.
4. Champion automation, data analytics, and AI-driven testing to enhance efficiency and precision.
5. Collaborate closely with teams in Product Development, Embedded Software, and Manufacturing to align test strategies with evolving architectures.
6. Drive innovation in manufacturing and testing processes, enhancing coverage, speed, and reliability.
7. Operate within a dynamic, high-tech industrial environment, scaling solutions for high-volume production.
8. Ensure robust diagnostics, yield improvement, and troubleshooting capabilities in the testing infrastructure.
9. Lead and motivate the Testing Tool Chain team to deliver on strategic objectives.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in test engineering, automation, or validation within EV manufacturing, telecom, or consumer electronics.
3. Strong expertise in embedded software testing, diagnostics, and test automation frameworks.
4. Proven experience in test automation with a strong focus on driving an automation-first mindset.
5. Proficiency in operating systems (e.g., Linux, Free RTOS), networking protocols, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Power Shell).
6. Experience designing scalable test solutions for high-volume production environments.
7. Familiarity with modern testing methodologies, data analytics, and AI-driven optimization.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced setting.
9. Strong communication and teamwork skills for cross-functional collaboration.
