What you'll be doing: The Head of Finance is responsible for the financial health of the organization. They conduct strategic planning of the company’s financial future and manage financial departments. By working hand-in-hand with the Accounting Centre of Excellence, they share the responsibility for the financial policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies for the company
- Prepare and present financial reports and risk analysis
- Support the Accounting Centre of Excellence to ensure compliance with financial laws and guidelines
- Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results
- Manage budgeting and forecasting efforts
- Support the Accounting Centre of Excellence in establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls
- Support the Accounting Centre of Excellence in their interactions with the external and internal auditors
- Provide leadership to the finance department team
- Engage with senior management to develop short, medium, and long-term financial plans and projections
- Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed
- Oversee the financial strategy and budgeting process of the organization
- Manage the company’s financial planning and risk management
- Support global financial teams in preparing, analyzing and presenting monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency
- Support the Accounting Centre of Excellence to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
- Collaborate with senior management to make critical business decisions
- Manage relationships with banks, investors, and auditors
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation
- Lead and manage the finance team
- Oversee the management of company investments
Qualifications:
- Experience in financial management and accounting as a Chief Financial Officer, Finance Director or similar role
- Strong understanding of financial law and financial risk management
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Ability to strategize and solve problems
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
- Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software
- A certified public accountant (CPA) qualification is desirable but not essential
- BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus
