Offer Description

The researcher will carry out research activities consistent with the declaration of the SSD BIOS08/A – Molecular biology. The main area of investigation will concern functional genomics and its applications, especially through epigenomic and transcriptomic approaches, including single-cell studies. This activity is expected to involve collaborations with internationally renowned research laboratories in the field and must lead to results that can be published in high-ranking, peer-reviewed journals and disseminated in national and international conferences, as well as in public engagement initiatives.

Participation in national and/or international competitive calls for research funding in molecular biology is also expected, particularly on themes relevant for molecular-level understanding of human pathologies.

The teaching and student service activities will cover courses in the SSD BIOS-08/A, taught in the bachelor’s and master's degree courses included in the teaching program of the Department. Teaching activity will consist of frontal lessons, classroom exercises and laboratory experiences, assistance with student activities, and participation in evaluation committees for specific exams and final degree examinations, within the range of subjects and topics envisaged by the contract. The teaching activity as part of the courses will not exceed 120 hours, according to university regulations.
