Global Pricing Offering Manager, Motion Services division (location: Europe)

This position reports to

Global Pricing Excellence Manager, Motion Services division

Your role and responsibilities

In this role you will lead the development of harmonized pricing strategies for the Motion Services (MOSE) offering, providing expertise, support, and governance to drive their success. You will also review and optimize existing approaches, ensuring the offering is guided by effective pricing strategies that align with our business objectives. This role will bring together diverse stakeholders, ensuring the end-to-end pricing that supports market differentiation and competitive positioning. This role is open globally, but location is set in ABB Office in Europe with a preference for Poland (Warszawa), Italy (Sesto San Giovanni), Romania (Bucharest), Sweden (Vaesteras), Finland (Helsinki).

You will mainly be accountable for:

  1. Designing and implementing pricing strategies for new and existing offerings, ensuring alignment with business goals and market trends.
  2. Developing pricing models that cater to different service lines offering (product, services, service agreements, projects) and customer segments.
  3. Establishing and maintaining pricing governance frameworks ensuring transparency and accountability.
  4. Ensuring pricing policies and models are scalable and flexible to adapt to market dynamics.
  5. Monitoring competitors’ pricing strategies, market trends, and customer preferences to make informed recommendations.
  6. Proactively identifying upsell opportunities by analyzing sales trends, pricing developments across markets, channels, and segments, while assessing product profitability (low to high margin products and services).
  7. Creating and managing internal pricing forums, driving consistent decision-making, speed and agility, pricing information and knowledge sharing, and competencies development.
  8. Establishing close collaboration with key business stakeholders especially Pricing teams and Product Management, connecting Local Service Units with backend responsible units (role is not responsible for discrete service pricing operations).

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in a similar role.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in the service business, focusing on developing pricing strategies for services and projects along with strong understanding of various pricing methodologies.
  • Ability to create, develop and evaluate practical solutions from complex topics with multiple stakeholder interests.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • A result-oriented approach combined with good people skills.
  • Pricing certification would be a plus (CPP).
  • Collaborative and team spirit approach.
  • Be an advocate of Motion Services business.
