RINA is currently recruiting for a Global Legal Counsel to join its office in Genoa (Italy) within the Global Tender & Procurement Legal Support Division.

Mission

As the Global Legal Counsel at RINA S.p.A., you will play a key role in providing strategic legal advice, managing legal risks, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations to support our global operations and business objectives.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Legal Advisory:
    • Provide expert legal guidance and support to various departments and business units.
    • Advise on legal implications of business strategies, initiatives, and operational decisions.
    • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex legal issues.
  2. Contract Management:
    • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements.
    • Ensure contracts comply with legal requirements and company policies.
  3. Compliance Oversight:
    • Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
    • Develop and implement compliance programs and initiatives.
  4. Risk Management:
    • Identify legal risks and propose strategies to mitigate them.
    • Assess potential liabilities and provide proactive solutions.
  5. Litigation Management:
    • Manage litigation matters, including liaising with external counsel and overseeing legal proceedings.
    • Develop strategies for dispute resolution and settlement negotiations.
  6. Corporate Governance:
    • Advise on corporate governance matters and ensure adherence to corporate governance standards.
    • Support Board meetings and prepare legal documentation related to corporate governance.
Education

Master’s Degree

Professional Certificate in Law

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing law, preferably in a global company or law firm.
  • In-depth knowledge of administrative law and public procurement regulation is mandatory.
  • Capability to provide legal advice on the analysis of calls for tender and check required tender documentation.
  • Capability to draft and support the negotiation of Joint Venture (JV) agreements, grouping agreements, and service agreements.
  • Knowledge of corporate law, commercial law, contracts, and regulatory compliance is a plus.
  • Fluency in Italian and English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
  • Experience in managing and supervising legal matters across multiple jurisdictions is an advantage.
