GLOBAL ACCOUNT MANAGER

JOB PURPOSE

The prime responsibility of the role is to proactively develop business strategies across the regions which will drive profitable growth whilst at the same time increasing penetration in Sales and Demand Creation performance resulting in market share gain on a global basis. The ability to effectively communicate in order to negotiate the company offering to the customer to achieve the opportunity to competently position Future’s value add and quote on business and demonstrate the company’s full capabilities is a key requirement in the role.

What the role involves:

  • Develop global strategy and implement site tactics carried out in conjunction with branch personnel in each geographical region to drive top-line revenue and increase gross profit margin.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and challenges and help in formulating strategies within regions and branches to position Future for growth. Develop relationships with the customer’s Senior Management through regular visits to their corporate and field sites.
  • Present Future’s value proposition by providing customers with our Value-Added Solutions and Corporate Initiatives i.e., Business Partner Programme etc. in order to enhance service capabilities at all customer sites.
  • Work with branch and regional management to set, implement, drive, and monitor sales and margin budgets globally by site that will increase share at each location and outperform industry and Future’s growth projections.
  • Drive key supplier initiatives outlined by marketing at each customer site to ensure corporate supplier commitments are achieved.
  • Provide a high level of service by being responsive to the customer’s needs with regards to return of quotes, product availability, lead times, and delivery queries as necessary.
  • Engage the Field Application Engineering team in order to capitalize on associative sell opportunities.

Do you have:

  • Commercially astute and resilient with consistent proven sales track within the company or other electronic distribution business for the past five years. Educated to degree standard, ideally with a technical or business nature.
  • Demonstrated understanding of technical team by achieving a designated number of designs in.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized and accurate, able to work under pressure and maintain extensive attention to detail. Achieves end result.
  • Able to work under own initiative and as a member of a team.
