Who are we:

Global Business Services is a division within Wilhelmsen Group that aims to provide high quality, scalable and cost-efficient business support services such as Finance, HR and IT, to companies in the Wilhelmsen group.

About the position:

We are looking for an expert Accountant to join our Global Business Services division in Genoa office. The position is responsible for professional accounting and financial related work tasks for Italian legal entity, ensuring that the finance function is carried out in line with the corporate policies, guidelines, and objectives.

The accounting team and the Finance Manager are seated in Barcelona, therefore it is required a good ability to work independently.

You have a track record in streamlining business process. To succeed in this role, you will be described as personable, technically strong and diligent.

Main responsibilities:

1. Balance sheet reconciliation
2. Analyze P&L accounts and comment variations
3. Assist in the financial year-end closing process
4. Report local figures according to group guidelines
5. Review local figures to be sent to tax authorities
6. Intercompany reconciliation
7. Comply with local Laws/regulations and with requirements from external parties

Mandatory requirements:

1. University level degree in accounting and/or finance
2. Minimum 5 years relevant experience
3. Ability to work with finance software, as IFS, SAP, or similar
4. Good command of the English language (spoken and written)
5. Good MS Office skills, particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel
