Job Description:
Grand Hotel Timeo, a Belmond Hotel in Sicily is searching for a talented F&B Manager to join our team of passionate professionals.
Reporting to the General Manager and with a dotted line to the Divisional Director of F&B, you will be responsible for identifying and rolling out the required actions to ensure our Restaurants & Bars operate at their full potential, providing an outstanding experience for our guests.
The scope of the role includes the design and execution of new concepts in line with the positioning of the property, the development and roll out of action plans to maximize guest satisfaction and the financial return of each restaurant and bar.
The position is based in Taormina, Sicily and the contract is permanent and full time. You must possess the legal right to work in Italy / EU.
Main responsibilities:
- Responsible for delivering the F&B related activities and achieving or exceeding the hotel targets in terms of guest satisfaction, quality assurance, and financial metrics;
- Manage all F&B and day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards;
- Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service;
- Responsible for creation and delivery of the short- and long-term F&B plans and strategies;
- Design exceptional and innovative restaurant concepts, purchase goods, china, etc., and continuously make necessary improvements;
- Identify customer needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns;
- Lead the F&B team by attracting, recruiting, training, and appraising talented personnel;
- Establish targets, KPIs, schedules, policies, and procedures;
- Maintain positive customer relationships, process complaints, and respond to customer needs;
- Responsible for the implementation of any F&B-related projects and global programs;
- Identify opportunities and develop solutions to enhance the performance of all F&B aspects and operations, such as LQA and guest experience;
- Guide and train the team of heads and line staff in the efficient delivery of the highest standards of service to our guests;
- Monitor food safety regulations;
- Responsible for the planning and operation of events and banquets;
- Create, monitor, and enforce restaurant policies, targets, and KPIs;
- Coordinate emails and restaurant bookings;
- Lead by example and act as a role model for others, exhibiting the highest levels of professionalism in all management practices;
Requirements:
- Dynamic, curious, and exhibits a passion for excellence
- 5 years work experience in a similar role in the luxury hospitality business
- International experience in F&B will be considered a plus
- Hotel School degree or similar
- Strong knowledge of F&B trends and best practices in the luxury F&B business
- Excellence in written & verbal English
- Ability to solve problems efficiently
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Emotional intelligence, interpersonal, and influencing skills
- Organizational skills
- Guest-oriented
