We are now looking for an Expert Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) to join our Systems Reliability team within R&D and Engineering in Power Supply. This is a unique opportunity to support Wärtsilä's transformation towards a decarbonization path and contribute to a sustainable future while staying competitive in the industry. The position is permanent, and the preferred locations are Trieste (Italy), Vaasa (STH, Finland), and Turku (Finland).
What you will be doing
As an MBSE expert at Wärtsilä, you will contribute to our decarbonization journey and sustainability efforts. Your responsibilities will include implementing MBSE practices to manage system complexity, improve team communication, and ensure data consistency and traceability. You will help us stay compliant with regulations and drive innovation through a structured and visual approach to system design and analysis. As an MBSE-dedicated expert, you will create a unified model-based framework that integrates technical, regulatory, and environmental requirements into a single source of truth.
Additionally, you will train and guide your colleagues in adopting MBSE methodologies. By working closely with domain expert teams, you will ensure they understand and apply these practices, maximizing the benefits of our new approach.

In this role, travel is required to meet with our customers worldwide. Thus, we hope you will be ready to travel approximately 5%, even though most meetings are held virtually. We do offer a hybrid work setup.
