Europe General Manager Food Ingredients m/f/d

Geiger Food Ingredients Recruitment & Consulting is searching for an international Food Ingredients Company with a global network of plants, sales offices, and R&D centres for the position of General Manager Food Ingredients Europe.

Location: Northern Italy (onsite)

This is a Business-to-Business job. Please apply only if you have experience in flavours, colours, extracts, dried fruit and vegetables, and other value-added food ingredients, and not in FMCG or HORECA.

Responsibilities

• You will be in charge of sales, marketing, customer service, manufacturing, supply chain, R&D, and NPD.
• You are a specialist in food ingredients.
• Develop strategies and formulate an annual business plan, including market share objectives.
• You are able to lead a larger team, including finance, operations, sales business development, R&D, and NPD.
• Develop, lead, and manage all commercial activities of the business and implement an innovative, growth-focused commercial strategy, focusing primarily on new product areas and emerging markets.
• Ensure that profitable business growth is accelerated and that commercial success is achieved.
• Drive the entire business operations for the food business with a focus on top-line and bottom-line performance, increasing revenues and augmenting profitability.
• You speak, besides English, other local languages like Italian.

Requirements

• MBA from a reputed institute.
• 15-20 years of work experience in the Food B2B industry.
• Experience in a GM position in Europe for food ingredients.
• You are a multicultural personality and enjoy solving problems.
• You are willing to travel 50% of your time.
