SolarEdge Energy Storage Division is seeking a Sales Director to originate and develop sales opportunities for SolarEdge’s Energy Storage Division, focusing on the European sales region. This role will primarily involve the sales of Energy Storage Systems (ESS) to existing and new customers, primarily within central Europe.

The Sales Director will lead the European region in sales management and business development activities, aiming to develop and diversify the SolarEdge business, increase revenue, and underpin future growth.

Primary Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Motivation & Communication – Motivate the regional team to excel, manage complex customer situations, and communicate performance to senior leaders in the business.
  • Problem Solving – Support ESD sales, technical and commercial outcomes with innovative and effective solutions that grow the business by delivering solid outcomes for customers.
  • Planning and Strategy – Prepare and implement regional development plans, supporting your team in delivering on strategy.

Business & Sales

  • Win Business – Manage the sales cycle for repeat business and seek new opportunities.
  • Negotiate with Insight – Understand SEDG solutions to educate customers, challenge project uncertainties, and drive decisions.
  • Manage Customer Interactions – Oversee the sales cycle, deliver sales volume by securing POs, and champion your customers internally.
  • Focus on Growth – Ongoing development of ESD growth strategy and business model.
  • Know Your Market – Provide insights for business opportunities and viable customers to support the growth strategy.
  • Tailor Responses – Clarify the value offered in SEDG solutions to meet and exceed customer needs.

Offer Development

  • Evolving Capability – Increase expertise in ESD solutions, value proposition, and support.
  • Continual Improvement – Address ESD developments, opportunities, and threats with our local and global SolarEdge business.
  • Product Change – Provide essential feedback for the product & marketing teams on required product customization and marketing materials necessary for the local market.

SolarEdge Brand Extension

  • Extension – Deliver on SolarEdge Energy Storage brand extension strategy.
  • Advocacy – Seek brand advocacy from our customers in all areas.
  • Represent – Represent SolarEdge at industry workshops, events, and forums as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline: Engineering and/or Business/Commerce.
  • 5+ successful years in C&I and/or Utility scale ESS or energy sales.
  • Sales & Business Development of complex products & services.
  • Client relationship management: Develop, Grow and Retain.
  • Negotiating PO terms/contracts.
  • Effective reporting & performance tracking.
