Job Description

Are you a jack of all trades? If so, our Engineering Supervisor role will allow you to lead and train engineering and landscape team members in all technical and non-technical areas. This individual will be comfortable leading various projects from start to finish as well as focused on maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair all hotel systems including all H.V.A.C&R systems, laundry equipment, kitchen equipment, water and wastewater systems, carpentry, tile, plumbing, painting and minor automotive repairs.
• Assume responsibilities of the Director of Engineering in their absence.
• Maintain complete knowledge of hotel fire system, water system, sewage system, and irrigation system.
• Respond to all Guest Requests within a very timely manner.
• Respond to all emergency or life-threatening situations.
• Follow established safety procedures.
• Log and communicate all essential information in Engineering logs.
• Duties include emergency on call status.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-4 years experience as an Engineer / Maintenance Technician, preferably within a hotel or property management environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Technical school desired.
• Must be able to operate all Hotel systems and associated equipment.
• Need to be familiar with associated vendors and able to identify replacement parts, materials, and necessary tools.
• Ability to take action and make decisions whenever necessary as directed by the Director of Engineering.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions on assembly of mechanical equipment and furniture as well as follow directions on warning labels.
• Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers, and management.
