Your 'day to day'

As an Engineer - Taste Design Verification you will implement and lead validation activities linked to portfolio extensions in order to meet technical and business needs.

More specifically, you will:

  1. Translate product designer DoE into testing protocols. Ensure full traceability from material to product performance results using dedicated systems.
  2. Plan and communicate with manufacturing center trial plans, discuss and integrate trial requirements. Connect with analytical laboratories and sensory evaluation plans, discuss and integrate analysis and sensorial requirements.
  3. Track projects progress as per the identified plan activities to ensure adherence to schedule and budget requirements and provide timely updates to project owner. Perform knowledge management via data compilation, review and storage in line with Company, FDA or any other equivalent accreditation authority requirements.
  4. Produce and maintain accurate and complete documentation that describes a new product, process and/or system, facilitating decision making, including all relevant information for legal or compliance purposes, to ensure a complete record to close the project/activity.
  5. Identify process optimization and bridging opportunities across platforms/eco-systems. Provide support for cleaning assessment, validation and procedures.
  6. Transfer the accomplished product, process and system quality improvements, including knowledge and expertise within the organization to ensure sustainable implementation.

Who we’re looking for:

  1. Engineering or Science Degree or Equivalent in fields of: food science, chemistry, biology, biochemistry, biotechnology or similar field.
  2. Meaningful relevant experience, preferably in tobacco industry or in a multinational environment.
  3. Experience in equipment / process validation.
  4. Standard pack office IT skills, use of data management system is a plus.
  5. Knowledge of tobacco leaf, primary and secondary processing, flavor manufacturing is a plus.
  6. A person that is curious, exploring, agile, and not late to take the lead, proposing new insights and solutions.
  7. A person that can work independently with low supervision, not afraid to take their own decisions and responsibility.
  8. Highly developed communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  9. Ability to solve problems, think outside of the box when needed but also capable of understanding the context and sometimes see the big picture.
  10. Proficiency in English both in writing and speaking, while Italian and French is an asset.
