What You Will Do
As the Engineer Maintenance Manager for our Plant in Noto, you will be responsible for managing the maintenance and engineering of the plant, including buildings and equipment, and will coordinate the dedicated resources. You will be working proactively with other Managers to establish and maintain programs of continuous improvement in the management of EHSQS and will ensure all activities are performed to the highest levels of safety and all permitting requirements are adhered to.
Other key responsibilities include the planning and control of department staff and activities, and supporting and engaging with the site CAPEX Projects to ensure site needs are fully met, within agreed costs and timescales.
How You Will Do It
General duties
- Support the team in initiatives aimed at the realization of projects and improvement of maintenance.
- Implement and manage the maintenance plan, defining strategies along the way.
- Manage contractor activities, ensuring compliance with EHSQ requirements.
- Guarantee prescribed maintenance quality and hygiene standards are kept by collaborating with the Quality Assurance Service to identify the optimal operating conditions.
- Ensure the principles of the prevention are respected through design of new installations.
- Manage the supply of maintenance materials, machinery and systems.
- Manage control operations aimed at reducing EHSQ risks (check lists, inspections).
- Coordinate the activities of the maintenance team.
- Ensure the adequacy of the fire prevention and anti-intrusion systems.
- Guarantee the efficiency of the plant's utilities.
- Support the team in planning projects in detail and define the development plan, taking into consideration cost and time schedules.
- Manage specific maintenance and project reports.
- Ensure that improvements are implemented as foreseen and in compliance with legal requirements and T&L policies.
- Team management.
- Proactively support the team and propose best solutions by setting a good example.
- Promote the challenging yet realistic performance and development objectives, providing meaningful and tactful feedback for direct reports.
EHSQS accountabilities
- Be responsible for Health and Safety in the workplace as “Preposto” pursuant to Leg. Decree 81/2008
- Participate in audits, incidents and near misses’ investigation.
- Monitor the proper application of Life Saving Principles.
- Know the production process; monitor the correct application of the hygiene and behavior rules
- Know the pre-requisite program, the OPRPs, the CCPs and verify the methods for monitoring correctly (food safety).
- Actively collaborate in the definition of the rules for correct management of allergens within the site.
- Participate in the development of EHSQ procedures.
- Execution of activities aimed at ensuring compliance within legal technical requirements.
- Provide support in development and applying of site security rules
What We Are Look For
- Engineer Bachelor's degree with experience of maintenance/engineering (1 year minimum).
- Italian mother tongue or excellent spoken, and good spoken and written English language ability.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
- Ability to use IT systems (Office, SAP).
- Basic knowledge of electrical engineering and mechanics.
- Experience in managing direct reports.
- Develop reports and presentations related to the maintenance operations.
- Organize project work and related tasks/ responsibilities.
- A proactive approach with good organizational, interpersonal skills and team spirit.
- An adaptive mindset.
- Ability to run analyses independently and translate them into actionable insights.
- A high degree of personal motivation with a desire to make an immediate contribution.
