Electro-Optical/Infrared System Engineer
Main Responsibilities
- Identification of the customer's operational requirements and translate them into high level technical requirements.
- Definition of the suitable EO/IR system architecture to meet the identified technical requirements.
- Definition and evaluation of the high-level technical requirements and divide them into functional, performance, mechanical and interface requirements.
- Drafting of technical documentation (SSS, SSDD,..) according to present procedures.
- Integration, Validation and Qualification of the system according to the MIL-STD reference or design rules.
- Final check and Test with customer or end–user.
- Installation activity on platforms, ground tests, official trials.
- Project and planning management; relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
- Support Sales & Marketing team in preparing offers (technical proposal, cost estimation).
Technical Requirements
- Experience with design, integration and validation of advanced electro-optic and infrared systems.
- Experience of Systems Engineering lifecycle, from development and management of requirements (preferably using DOORS) through to acceptance testing.
- Experience of performing analysis and developing models using tools such as MATLAB/SIMULINK and ZEMAX.
- Desired experience with image processing algorithms and techniques.
- Desired experience with optical systems performance measurement analysis.
- Desired experience with EO/IR laboratory and factory test systems development.
Education
Master's Degree (PhD preferred) in Physics, Computer, Electronics or Communication Engineering.
