Position Summary

We’re looking for an EHS Specialist in Reggio Emilia. Under the direction of the EHS Manager, the candidate will be in charge of all EHS topics and ISO 14001 and ISO45001 procedures and development. The candidate will collaborate in the hazards identification, risks assessment, and EHS measures implementation to continuously improve the work environment, machines/equipments, production flow, and sustainability.

Main Responsibilities

Collaborate to/by:

1. Definition of plant guidelines and policies for EHS and Sustainability topics
2. Hazard identification, risks assessment, and implementation of measures for health and safety in the working environment to minimize environmental impact, in compliance with the laws in force
3. Development and maintenance of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System, certified as per standards ISO45001 and ISO14001
4. Guarantee that these Systems are submitted to periodical audits to ensure continuous improvement in performance
5. Analyze applicable health, safety, and environment regulations and act as a driver for their fulfillment
6. Collaborate with technical departments to define prevention and protection measures
7. Identify personal protection devices based on the risks assessment
8. Propose workers’ information and training programs
9. Ensure suitable medical and paramedical supervision for plant needs
10. Ensure collection of main sustainability, safety, health, and environment KPIs is executed consistently
11. Support the Maintenance Team in regulatory equipment inspections and energy management
12. Manage external contractors
13. Utilize external experts for environmental measurements
14. Assure proper classification, identification, storage, and management of waste for disposal

Job Position Requirements

Education: University bachelor degree in Ingegneria or Tecnico della prevenzione.

Professional background

1. At least 5 years' experience in structured and continuous improvement-oriented industrial settings.
2. Experience in the metal industry is a plus.

2. EHS legal requirement knowledge

4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Mainly Excel)
