Junior Software Developer

Job Description:

We are looking for a Junior Software Developer with a strong interest in frontend and backend development to join our team. In this role, you will help enhance existing applications and contribute to the development of new ones while learning from experienced developers.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a talented team of engineers to do their best work while following the company's methodology.
• Quality Assurance: Improve the quality, reliability and security of our data systems upholding testing and validation processes.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and make them part of our development cycle and culture, pushing best practices and team efficiency.
• Collaboration: Foster a collaborative team culture, promoting knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration, which is already a strong part of the company.
• Assist in developing and improving web applications using JavaScript, Vue.js, TypeScript, and Node.js. Possibly also integrating with existing systems in C# and .NET.
• Support the implementation of new features and improvements in existing applications.
• Collaborate with experienced developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Write clean, maintainable code while following best practices.
• Learn and adapt to new technologies and best practices in software development.

Requirements:

MUST HAVE

• Technical certification or degree in Computer Science (or related field), or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficient English level (speaking and writing)
• Basic understanding of frontend and backend development.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
• A willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
• Curiosity to explore new technologies.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Eagerness to receive feedback and continuously improve.
• Ability to organize tasks and manage time efficiently.

NICE TO HAVE

• Good Portuguese level (speaking and writing)
• Basic experience with Python for scripting or automation is a plus.
