Tasks

The Data Center Engineer PN02 will provide daily local/remote server support, receive incoming calls, answer questions, troubleshoot problems, and document steps taken to resolve hardware, software, and application issues in a ticketing system. The candidate will also be expected to facilitate resolution of customer calls and engage with their supervisors and managers to ensure operational consistency across all shifts within the IT support center.

The Data Center Engineer PN02 provides Break & Fix, fault diagnosis and resolution services.
The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of IT support experience in a Data Centre.

Responsibilities and functions of the position

1. DC Hands & Feet: Operations and management of Datacentre (Hosted service)
2. Experience in Datacentre Infrastructure management
3. Datacentre full life cycle from commissioning to decommissioning, maintenance, monitoring and Transformation
4. Operational Reviews & Audits
5. Manage and maintain Data Centre asset inventory
6. Datacentre Management
7. Datacentre Site Monitoring
8. Planned & Predictive Maintenance
9. Remote Service
10. Datacentre Emergency Response
11. Vendor Management
12. SLA and KPI Management
13. Reporting, Via Dashboard & PowerPoint
14. Take Ownership of Issues and Problem-solving End to End
15. Execute daily operations activities within their perspective towers as required
16. Work with IT teams on projects related to Data Centre infrastructure
17. Transition/Transformation/Decommissioning/Projects
18. Change Control (CAB) Attendance & Stakeholder
19. Demand and Capacity Management
20. Storage/SAN Switches/Tape Library/Network devices
21. Fluent Italian Language (English language is very good optional)
22. Available to work shifts even on Saturdays
23. Available on call 24*7
24. Available to alternate work week Mon-Fri to Tue-Sab

Requirements

Minimum qualifications and skills required of the candidate
1. Minimum 2 years of experience in the IT sector. Windows Server, VMWare, Microsoft Active Directory, MS Hyper-V, BackUp Storage and Tape Library.
2. Proven analytical skills, excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
3. Adaptable and flexible, willing where necessary to work out of hours, when required for projects or emergency support.
4. Knowledge of the Italian and English languages, both colloquial and technical, for use on a daily basis.

We offer: employment with a fixed-term contract of 1 year, with the possibility of transformation to permanent.
