Deckhand/Assistant Engineer

Burgess recruitment is currently seeking a Deckhand / Assistant Engineer for a 50m yacht.

Requirements:

1. AEC1 & AEC2
2. STCW
3. ENG1
4. Previous experience in similar position

Beneficial:

1. Yachtmaster offshore
2. PWC Instructor

This is a deckhand role on an active charter program who would also be the Assistant Engineer for time of help required in that department. The position would suit a mechanically minded candidate with the understanding this is a more deckhand than engineer orientated role. We would require this dual role candidate for situations such as long or night passages where a continuous engineering watch is required or the Engineer needs help with a task and deck equipment maintenance. The candidate would also get bridge time for their qualifications going forward.

The deck team consists of 4 members including the Deckhand/Assistant Engineer position.

Start date: ASAP

Location: Imperia, Italy

Salary: EUR 4000

Leave: 45 days/year

Vessel Program and itinerary: Med Single Season heavy summer charter schedule. Yacht will have shipyard works in Italy this winter.
