Offer Description

The research focuses on the community of scriptwriters in the contemporary Italian audiovisual system with the aim of reconstructing the complex of professional dynamics, writing practices, the network of collaborations, and the transformations of work practices that followed the spread of platforms. At the center of the investigation is the activity of a category that is still little known compared to other figures and the desire to investigate the importance of the script in a system, like the Italian one, still strongly oriented on the creative centrality of the director. In the wake of a widespread practice in the field of production studies, the units will conduct a series of in-depth interviews with a sample of scriptwriters, to which will be added interviews with producers, directors, story editors, and heads of the main script schools.
