Engineering and Maintenance Director - Baglioni Hotels & Resorts Corporate Office Milano

We are currently looking for an Engineering and Maintenance Director to join our team in Milan.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance Management:
   • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs for all engineering systems.
   • Schedule and supervise preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
   • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services as needed.
2. Facility Management:
   • Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with safety and building codes.
3. Team Leadership:
   • Lead and motivate the engineering and maintenance team, providing guidance, training, and support as necessary.
   • Delegate tasks effectively and foster a collaborative work environment to achieve departmental goals.
4. Budgeting and Cost Control:
   • Develop annual maintenance budgets and monitor expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness.
   • Identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety standards.
5. Project Management:
   • Plan and execute capital improvement projects, renovations, and upgrades to enhance facility infrastructure and operational efficiency.
   • Coordinate project timelines, budgets, and resources in collaboration with other departments and stakeholders.
6. Compliance and Safety:
   • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards related to engineering and maintenance operations.
   • Implement and maintain safety protocols and procedures to minimize workplace hazards and promote a safe working environment.
7. Reporting and Documentation:
   • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventories, and service contracts.
   • Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators, maintenance metrics, and project status updates for management review.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in engineering and maintenance management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems and equipment.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.
• Proficiency in budgeting, project management, and facility maintenance software.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and best practices in facility management and safety.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
