Chief Officer / Junior Captain

Burgess recruitment is currently seeking a Chief Officer / Junior Captain for a 50m charter yacht.

The role involves managing deck operations during the summer and stepping up as Junior Captain during winter months.

Requirements:

• Previous Chief Officer experience on similar-sized vessels.
• Strong skills in vessel handling and manoeuvring.
• Leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Valid Chief Mate 3000GT CoC, STCW, GMDSS, and ENG1 certifications.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee deck operations and ensure smooth charter experiences.
• Lead the deck team with professionalism and attention to detail.
• Take on Junior Captain duties during winter.

Additional Information:

Start date: ASAP

Location: Italy

Salary: 6 months C/O with a salary of 6000; 4 months Junior Captain which would be over the winter non-charter months EUR 8000.

Leave: 2 months, taken during winter months.

Vessel Program and itinerary: Med Single Season heavy summer charter schedule.
