Civil Engineer

Selectek is seeking aCivil Engineer for our partnering company inColumbia, South Carolina. Candidates in this role will be focused on land development and site planning for commercial planning.

Employment Type: Contract-to-Direct
Location: Columbia, SC
Expected Pay Range: $32.00-$36.00 per hour, based on certifications and experience
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Hybrid work schedule of three in-office days and two days working from home will be available after the orientation period.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
• 2 years of Civil Engineering experience with site land development; layout, grading, drainage, utility design, and erosion control in commercial markets.
• Experience using Civil 3D is required

In addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.

Job Duties:

• Support commercial developments.
• Applies design fundamentals to total systems or sub-systems. Interpret and utilize basic topographic information.
• Address red lines and review comments. Review existing utilities and grading information on as-recorded documents.
• Perform site development construction drawings to include site layout, grading, water, sewer, and storm drainage.
• Develop project details, prepare selections, and adapt to alternatives.
• Perform storm water and sanitary sewer design calculations.
• Work under technical supervision with effort occasionally checked during progress and reviewed upon completion.
• Some travel required.
