Housekeeping Supervisor

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for the operational management of all Housekeeping functions and may be assigned to manage accommodation areas, public areas, crew areas, or pool areas, either day or night. This position provides direct support to the Assistant Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Manager in ensuring the division’s objectives are met and that day-to-day operations in Accommodation, Pool, Public, and Crew areas are maintained to standard. The Housekeeping Supervisor possesses a keen understanding of the importance of exceptional service to ensure complete guest and team satisfaction while providing strong leadership to all team members. In accordance with Royal Caribbean International’s Royal Way, each Employee always conducts themselves in a professional and courteous manner during physical and verbal interactions with guests or fellow Employees.

Hiring Requirements:

• Minimum one year of Housekeeping Supervisory experience in a large 4- or 5-star hotel (500+ rooms), cruise line, or hospitality industry-related field, with demonstrated experience supervising a team of a minimum of 10 employees.
• Extensive knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and safety-related procedures, including the use of equipment, personal protective equipment, and job safety analysis related to proper handling of chemicals, lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy equipment, and garbage removal.
• Working knowledge of computers, Internet access, and the ability to navigate within a variety of software packages such as Excel, Word, or related Company programs (SQM, OCIMS, Fidelio, LGA, Medallia, Kronos, etc.).

Language Requirements:

• Good knowledge of the English language is required. Ability to speak additional languages such as Spanish or French is preferred.
