Front-End Android Developer

KUBA is an innovative company committed to providing modern and efficient ticketing solutions for its customers. We are looking for a frontend web Android Developer to join a dynamic team in the Engineering department in Rome.

This Android app developer will work with our team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of our mobile applications. Android programming works closely with other app development and technical teams.

The position will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications, participating in all phases of the development life cycle of internal and external projects: software design, development, and traceability processes, which span from requirements gathering through development, code reviewing, testing, and releasing.

You will collaborate with a diverse and multicultural team, contributing to an environment that values innovation and high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
3. Work with outside data sources and APIs
4. Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
5. Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
6. Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. 1-2 years of experience as a frontend Android Developer
3. Have published at least one original Android app
4. Experience with Android SDK
5. Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
6. Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
7. Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
8. Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
9. Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
10. Attention to detail
11. Ability to work independently and be proactive.
12. Good written and oral communication skills, with a working level of English (B2 or equivalent)
13. Ability to analyze complex problems and find effective solutions.
14. Teamwork and collaboration with other departments.
