Director of Sales - Lifestyle Hotel in Rome

We are looking for an experienced and high-performing Sales Director to join this Lifestyle Hotel opening in Rome. We are searching for a candidate who has passion, is determined, and is goal-oriented.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Opening:

1. Develop a comprehensive pre-opening sales and marketing plan, including strategies for generating pre-opening buzz and securing group and corporate bookings.
2. Build and manage a high-performing sales team, recruiting and training top talent.
3. Establish strong relationships with key industry partners, including travel agents, tour operators, and corporate accounts.
4. Coordinate with the marketing team to develop effective marketing campaigns and promotional materials.
5. Oversee the creation of sales collateral, including rate sheets, proposals, and presentations.
6. Conduct site inspections and presentations for potential clients.

Post-Opening:

1. Lead and direct the development and implementation of strategic sales and marketing plans.
2. Develop, maintain, and implement strategies/action plans to generate revenues for the hotel.
3. Help keep the company competitive and innovative.
4. Promote high visibility of the hotel through active involvement in industry associations, trade shows, and other national and international activities.
5. Manage, develop, and maximize the team potential by recruitment, development, and training.
6. Identify emerging market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
7. Design and seize all advertising and public relations opportunities.
8. Effective management of all budgets to ensure optimum operating profit.
9. Reporting, communication, and presentation of management information and KPI statistics to director and board level.
10. Lead and support the growth of a small team on property.

Qualification Required & Experience

1. Successful track record as a Director of Sales / Director of Sales and Marketing or similar consistently meeting (and exceeding) targets within Hotels.
2. Good experience and understanding of the market of Upscale / Lifestyle Hotel & Resort is needed.
3. Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
4. A driven and dedicated commitment to success without sacrificing integrity.
5. Strong computer skills (with the understanding of the digital and social media tools).
6. Experience in creating local, international, and global strategy.
7. Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
8. Strong business sense and industry expertise.
9. Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
10. Fluent in English and Italian; another European language is a plus.
