Job Details:
The Senior Reinsurance Accountant plays a key role in compiling, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to support management decision-making. This position ensures adherence to regulatory requirements and serves as a valuable resource for both internal and external stakeholders. A successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of accounting principles to effectively evaluate financial reports and forecasts.

Job Overview:

1. Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements for U.S. and Canadian companies.
2. Consolidate financials for U.S.-based companies and analyze general ledger accounts.
3. Assist the reinsurance accounting team with preparing reinsurance schedules.
4. Reconcile and analyze general ledger and bank accounts.
5. Strengthen internal controls through diligent documentation of responsibilities.
6. Prepare income tax provisions for multiple entities.
7. Conduct various financial analyses for internal and external stakeholders, including Contingent commission calculations, Regulatory schedules, Actuarial triangles, Escheatment processes.

1. Bachelor's degree in accounting.
2. A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in accounting.
3. Reinsurance accounting experience is a plus and is preferred.
4. In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Awareness of business trends/industry trends.
6. Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
7. Ability to travel to Oklahoma for training.
