This thesis aims to study the current I/O interfaces of the most commonly used HIL systems in the powertrain field to design and develop an expansion module for digital input and output channels that can be controlled via CAN communication protocol. The module will be designed and developed in KiCad and tested in the laboratory to verify its correct functioning. The communication interface will be based on the Texas Instrument system and implemented using C language.
