Cybersecurity Architect

Job Description

Within the Group IT Security Architecture team (Chief Security Officer) we are looking for a highly motivated and experienced resource to join the team.

The candidate will be involved in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of a wide range of technical cybersecurity architectures. This includes developing secure frameworks, designing security solutions, and ensuring the integration of security best practices across all systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop security reference architectures for IT systems, ensuring they provide robust protection against threats. This involves creating secure network and system configurations, selecting suitable security technologies, and adhering to relevant policies and standards.
2. Keep current internal regulation documents with the new technical measures, standard or reference architecture developed within the Group IT Security Architecture activities.
3. Keep track of trends and monitor emerging technologies to identify potential threats associated with new ICT solutions (e.g., IoT, mobile, cloud), addressing related IT security requirements at the Group level.
4. Perform a security technical evaluation regarding the adoption of specific IT security technologies or general IT technologies that might introduce cyber risks when adopting new IT solutions.

Requirements

1. Bachelor degree, preferred in Computer Science and Engineering, or comparable training with professional experience in the relevant area.
2. Certification related to technical security (e.g. GIAC, OSCP, CEH) and willingness for continuous further qualification in relevant topics.
3. Ability to work in large international projects related to strategic topics and transformation initiatives.
4. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a diverse and cohesive team of technically interested colleagues.
5. Demonstrated enthusiasm for Information Security (e.g. GitHub repo, blogs, presentations, conference talks, participation in free skill-building / hacking challenges).
6. Strong analytical and communications skills, and out-of-the-box thinking with a problem-solving mindset.
7. Solid work experience in global organizations.
8. Excellent written and oral knowledge and fluency in English.

Technical Skills

1. Security Architecture: Experienced in designing and implementing security architectures for complex IT systems.
2. Cyber Attack Techniques: Knowledgeable in understanding and defending against various cyber attacks.
3. Network Security: Skilled in configuring and managing network security technologies.
4. Cloud Security: Proficient in securing cloud environments and following best practices.
5. System Security: Competent in assessing and enhancing the security of different systems and applications.
6. Programming and Scripting: Capable of writing secure code and scripts, especially in Python, Java, and PowerShell.
7. Identity and Access Management (IAM): Experienced in implementing and managing IAM solutions for critical systems and data.
8. Cybersecurity Frameworks: Well-versed in NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO/IEC 27001, and COBIT; adept at applying these frameworks to create and evaluate cybersecurity strategies and controls that meet organizational and regulatory needs.
