Credit Risk Analyst - Corporate & Investment Bank

The Credit Risk Management Corporate Bank & Investment Bank unit (within Chief Risk Officer department) is seeking a Credit Analyst, who will be responsible for credit analysis and monitoring of a portfolio of Italian MidCaps Corporates and supporting local approval process of Large Corporates and FIs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform good quality credit analysis, analysis of financial and economic performance, identification of risk drivers and evaluation of downcase scenarios.
2. Support senior credit officers in managing credit requests by analyzing the risk/reward profile of the proposed transaction and proactively proposing risk mitigating structures.
3. Ensure efficient, correct, accurate, and timely responses to business requests.
4. Monitor and report credit exposures, identifying early warning signals.
5. Prepare documentation for Credit Committee and Senior Management Committees.
6. Represent and prepare for Internal Audits/ Regulators.

Skill Requirements:

1. Graduate and/or post-graduate degree in business/finance (or a similar field of study).
2. Knowledge of credit products, credit documentation, and credit approval process.
3. Attitude towards credit-related regulatory requirements.
4. Understanding of potential risks (reputational, compliance, legal issues) related to the credit approval process.
5. Self-motivated, structured approach, and strong attention to detail paired with synthesis ability.
6. Proven ability to multi-task different projects and prioritize.
7. Ability to build cross-divisional as well as cross-regional relationships.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (and Italian).
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including strong Excel skills.
