Your Role
As a Flow Planner, you will be part of the Operations team, being responsible for the warehouse goods planning (outbound/inbound) in order to satisfy customers’ needs and requests. You will constantly interact with Operations Manager, Shift Leaders, and Automation Controllers to adapt goods planning to the day-to-day warehouse workflow capacity while keeping in mind the peculiarities of every specific department’s area.
Your Responsibilities
- Planning the sequence of the workload considering customer SLAs, cut-off times, and process times. Balancing and optimizing productivity to guarantee an efficient workflow without creating bottlenecks or discomfort situations.
- Constantly check the scheduled plan to identify potential issues and deviations and take corrective measures to ensure SLAs and cut-off times in close collaboration with Operation and Control room.
- Development and implementation of statistical metrics to schedule and draw up warehouse planning forecasts in consultation with the floor supervisor.
- Enforce the communication of information by using specific easy-to-understand dashboards that guarantee clear visibility of the past, current, and future goods planning status.
- Build a deep and efficient relationship with the shop floor to adapt and manipulate warehouse planning according to continuous changes requested by the customer.
- Create direct and true daily interactions with other departments within Kuehne + Nagel, such as customer service and transport planning, to develop the most efficient planning strategy and adapt it to current customer priorities.
- Identify, promote, and improve efficient communication schemes to inform Operations about warehouse goods planning and potential variations to frequently adapt the warehouse workflow.
Your Skills and Experiences
- 2 – 5 years of planning experience in large-scale (> 300 FTE) highly automated fulfillment operations, with a strong preference for eCommerce/Fashion/Retail fields, preferably in multinational companies with a matrix organizational structure.
- Accumulated wisdom about metrics and data analysis related to goods planning, including experience with software and/or ERPs.
- Exposure to dashboard data representations aimed at creating easy-to-understand ways to communicate information to different stakeholders.
- Familiarity with fast-paced work environments characterized by high levels of planning variations and frequent interactions with customers and stakeholders.
