Cloud DevOps Engineer

A Cloud DevOps Engineer is a Cloud Expert responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining the infrastructure and tools in the cloud that support the DevOps culture and practices within the organization.
You will be a reference expert, responsible for creating and maintaining cloud infrastructure and platforms for Sky Digital Channels Products (AWS and Azure).
You will be part of a team focused on ensuring Sky products operate at their best by emphasizing process automation, monitoring, and optimization of the infrastructure and services alongside software development engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing infrastructure from design/validation to implementation with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Designing and building automation frameworks (CI/CD, DevSecOps, Test Automation).
- Designing and managing monitoring and logging tools.
- Mentoring DevOps culture within the software center.
- Participating fully in establishing and driving organizational processes/initiatives, including the adoption of ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Asset & Configuration, Continuity, Security, Financial, etc.).
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code principles, practices, and tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Strong proficiency in designing, validating, and implementing Cloud solutions (AWS/Azure).
- Working knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD principles, practices, and tools (e.g., Jenkins).
- Working knowledge of containers and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of Cloud networking and security patterns.
- Experience with code versioning systems such as Git, CI/CD frameworks, and scripting languages (Bash, Python, TypeScript).
- Experience in monitoring platforms (i.e., ELK, Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with immediate team members, other IT areas, and clients in other departments.
- Ability to identify operational issues, support, and provide real-time solutions, making appropriate decisions.
- On-call rotation experience.
- Professional knowledge of the English language, written and spoken.
