Angle Recruitment has been retained by an established ship management company to help them identify, attract, and engage an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their team. This position is based in a vibrant European country and is an outstanding opportunity to steer the financial direction of the company as they grow from strength to strength.

About the Role:

As the CFO, you are responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of finance and accounting duties, including accounting operations, statutory requirements, strategic planning, and formulating and executing financial strategies and plans to optimize the company's overall financial performance. You will also drive capital raising, budgeting, forecasting processes, and reporting to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Overall finance management of the company's financial operations.
2. Develop and implement financial strategy of the company, planning, forecasting, reporting, capital raising, etc.
3. Oversee preparation and communication of financial statements and reporting of financial data.
4. Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.
5. Ability to communicate with various internal and external stakeholders (auditors, tax advisors, bankers, legal, etc).

Candidate Profile:

Qualifications:

• Familiar with IFRS and European regulations.
• Possess a European recognized accounting qualification.

Experience:

Proven track record and experience in a senior finance management position, ideally in the maritime space.

Leadership:

Strong team management and interpersonal skills, with a hands-on proactive and strategic approach to departmental leadership.
