Chief Engineer-50m

Burgess recruitment is currently seeking a Chief Engineer for a 50m yacht.

We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join a 50m charter vessel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily engineering operations and addressing any technical issues that may arise.

Requirements

1. Chief Engineer up to 3,000 kW (Merchant Navy) or Second Engineer Unlimited CoC holder (Merchant Navy).
2. Proven experience in a similar role on yachts or commercial vessels.
3. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
4. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
5. AVIT/ETO knowledge.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee and manage daily engine room operations and maintenance.
2. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
3. Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of machinery.
4. Handle any technical issues or emergencies as they arise.
5. Collaborate with the crew to ensure smooth operation and adherence to protocols.

Start date: 10 January 2025

Location: Imperia

Salary: EUR 8000

Leave: 2:2 rotation

Shared Cabin when fully crewed.

Med Single Season heavy charter.

Currently in Imperia - Winter works location to be confirmed.
