Chief Engineer

Burgess recruitment is currently seeking a Temp Chief Engineer for a 50m yacht.

We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join a 50m yacht on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily engineering operations and addressing any technical issues that may arise.

Requirements

• Chief Engineer up to 3,000 kW (Merchant Navy) or Second Engineer Unlimited CoC holder (Merchant Navy).
• Valid STCW Reg. III/2 certification.
• Proven experience in a similar role on yachts or commercial vessels.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily engine room operations and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of machinery.
• Handle any technical issues or emergencies as they arise.
• Collaborate with the crew to ensure smooth operation and adherence to protocols.

Duration: 1 month approx.

Location: Imperia

Salary: EUR 8000

Based in Imperia for the duration of the temporary role. No guests.
